How we approach safety

Safety, built into every programme

Long before your first session, safety is part of the plan — not an afterthought.

Step 1

Assessment

We review your health history and suitability before recommending HBOT, so it's the right fit from the start.

Step 2

Personalised plan

Your programme is built around your situation and goals, not a one-size-fits-all template.

Step 3

Safety guidance

Before you begin, we show you how to use the chamber and walk you through clear, simple safety steps.

Step 4

Ongoing support

We stay in touch throughout, and we're a phone call away whenever you need us.

Safety starts with experience

Why safety matters to us

After living the practical realities of daily HBOT himself, Dr Gary Dennis came to see that safety isn't only about equipment — it's about education, preparation and support. That philosophy now shapes every Cocoon programme.

Good to know

Why we have strict device rules

Because HBOT involves higher oxygen concentrations, we keep tight controls around electronic devices and battery-powered equipment — which is why phones, tablets and similar devices stay outside the chamber during a session.

These simple precautions are one part of the broader safety protocols we follow throughout every programme.

We'll walk you through exactly what this means for you before you start. It's straightforward, and we make it easy to follow.

Safety questions

A few common safety questions

Why can't phones or devices go inside the chamber?
Electronic devices and lithium batteries aren't suited to the oxygen-rich environment inside a chamber, so they stay outside during a session. We'll show you a simple routine for this when we set you up.
What happens if I need assistance during a session?
You're always in control — you can pause or end a session yourself at any time, and we show you exactly how before you begin. Support is only a phone call away if you need it.
How do you make sure the equipment is safe?
Each chamber is set up, operated and maintained according to the manufacturer's guidelines, with documented procedures for set-up, monitoring and shutdown.
